I have started an ongoing project of making cool cyclist safety gear because…well the idea started because a lot of my friends in Dublin were wearing headphones out in traffic instead of helmets and I thought that was silly. But the idea expanded as well when I realized a lot of the cycling gear out there is either super sporty or extremely dorky. I want people to be able to experience donning safety gear as a regular practice WITHOUT feeling self-conscious. You feel me? Great gifts for the bike enthusiasts in your life.

Each vest will be made with hi-vis material and a base fabric, as well as ribbons to tie the front closed, and at least one embellishment element and bits of hand-sewing. For example, the green vest I just made has a small clover charm hand-sewn to the end of one of the ribbons and two vintage gold butterfly brads secured to the material.
